Digital Imaging : Tech Support : Filters FILTERS Regardless of whether you are new to the digital imaging field or a conventional photographer, you will want to pay particular attention to the filters that are in place when you capture a digital image.
In the past, you used a haze or UV filter to cut the haze and at the same time protect the lens. But with digital imaging, you will want to have a standard hot mirror filter in place on all lenses. Other filters are not used for special effects, but rather for color corrected results as they impact the digital file on the Charge-Coupled Device (CCD). Soft image filters are a case in point. Email us for the details on how other filters remedy digital effect problems before they hit the CCD. |
