Digital Imaging : Tech Support : Treatment of Images TREATMENT OF IMAGES As with conventional photography, some things look better than others. You should try to be digitally correct.
Knowing what works in the digital formatand what does notallows for optimal results down the digital road and helps avoid problems when outputting to the printed page, to digital files, and to the world wide web. Avoid tight patterns that are small, like fine lines in distant buildings and small patterns in foreground subjects that are part of the scene. In portraits, watch the wardrobe selected and avoid thin strips, solid white shirts, and small check patterns. |
